What pound test is your bridle and what are you using for clips? Picture of what your bridle looks like will help.

After much looking I found the video that I knew was on here. Here is the whole, rod to lure video...

This is a picture of what a lot of us use...

    bridle

I don't have a pic because the last time we used it broke and I never re-rigged it. But I am pretty sure it doesn't look as heavy duty as that.

    Billy,

I use 200lb without any issue. Make several up so that you've got plenty of spares. I do the same with the leader's too. Keep a good eye on the loop's, the planer's put alot of sress on them. If in doubt, throw it out and start with a fresh bridle. Frank

Here are the videos I put together back in 2007 for making a windon bridal. We had so many request for them I thought I would do the videos so everyone could make them since I didn't want to get into selling them. It is a 9 part series and will walk you through the process step by step.
Before you start you need to know what the distance is between the ends of the two snaps when they are rigged on the planer. Just add 4 inches to the total length of the rigged planer to get your loop spacing. We also use 200lb Jerry Brown Hollow core Spectra for all of our bridal windons now.........Mark

Just click on the photos below for the videos.

The pic that Lee posted was on my boat. This is the same Bridle that Mark done the video on. We used the same Bridle all summer and fall without any issues.

    Lightbulb

Mark, Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!! I have been messing around trying to figure this out and had worked out some of it, but kept running into frustrating stops. Your video filled in all the details.

A couple of questions. 1. With the 200lb hollow core spectra are you still using 100lb mono or do you have to use 130lb. 2. what size serving line are you using?

Thanks again. It was like a light bulb went off with these videos
