A couple of questions. 1. With the 200lb hollow core spectra are you still using 100lb mono or do you have to use 130lb. 2. what size serving line are you using?

Thanks again. It was like a light bulb went off with these videos
Sorry for the late reply I was out of town. I have used the 200JB HC for 100-200 lb leader with no problems. I use regular bowstring serving for the bridals. I like to change out the bridal every two or three months if the planer doesn't get eaten first!!
This is a video from our last BFT trip a few weeks ago. This 180-200lb BFT was caught on a 100lb with 200lbJB 100ft bridal windon leader with a 30ft 300 lb leader.

Thanks Mark. I am planning on using 130 as that is what I have handy.

Great Fish! I am drooling over all the fish being caught! I am hoping to get back in the game soon as I am waiting for new motors on the boat.

How do you connect the braid bridle to your main line?

    For windon bridals:
I run 200lb JB hollowcore mainline on my planer rod so I just splice in a loop in the mainline then when you install the 100ft windon bridal leave it coiled and do a double catspaw to the main line.
No swivel needed, no crimps just a smooth transition to the windon bridal:
Here are the videos to Splice a Spetcra End Loop in the hollow core....Mark

by the way, how is fishing?

It is this one above your post here. He takes it from the mainline to the lure as well as how he makes the bridle.

Thanks Lee. I have been making them the way that he shows in that video, but wanted to get away from the crimps and swivels going in and out of the guides. I was worried about busting a guide or possibly having a fish surge and a swivel get hung up and break him off. The system Mark shows is really great and very clean and smooth.

    Thanks again
