    Bridge Teaser Reels

Guys, I am outfitting a new sportfisher for the '08 season. I have plans to try and have two sets of teaser reels in the bridge. I am hoping to be able to pull dredges from the second set of reels in the bridge. I only have experience pulling them from the cockpit on Kristal and LPs. Do any you all have any experience with the US9 Super 24 reels pulling dredges? I am trying to figure out if these reels will be sufficient for this task from the bridge.

    thanks

we have the epoch super 9s i believe they would have enough, but to be on the safe side i would look into some of the pulley systems they have for the dredges.

    They will work

Many boats use the Super 9 on rods in the cockpit (Ex. Viking Demo Boats,
Hatterascal, Let It Ride, Oil Slick) so they have plenty of power. Like tim said, rig up a pulley on the rigger, thats the only way i think you can do it.

Thanks for the reply fellow, I kind of figured on the pulley system. We do like to pull large dredges.

Rock you could also use the 651 Kristals. Brian on the Big Hunter has them mounted under the hardtop and a second set on the rail for teasers.

    John,

Yeah I would love to use the kristals, but all the teaser reels will be in an overhead box. I am afraid the kristals are too big, and also I like the programmable stops on the Miya Epochs.
