    Briar Creek 12-17-11

We hunted Briar Creek Saturday. My ten dogs paired off and went five different directions. Lots of shots fired. Two killed.

I am not sure what lives up in the holes* under the trees, most held water in them. I am thinking this is where the gators hold up when there is not much water. There have been a few gators killed on our club the last few yeas, and we really do not have much water at all.

    BeagleWoman,

The easiest way I know, would be to just run your hand deep into the hole! I love the LowCountry myself. I was down that way a few week's back, places in the swamp that hold 6ft of water are dry enough now to walk across in you bedroom slipper's. I amazes me how fast the swamp's can change. Just a few year's ago I was flooded in and forced to hog hunt for 10 day's straight. What a great time, 26,000 acre's with 3 people hunting on it! Frank
