Of course it was heavier than hell, and he asked "how are we going to get it out of the bathroom and down the stairs"? I said " We'll break it up into smaller pieces and carry them down". Meaning we'll cut it up. Well bless his little ambitious heart as I was knelt down with my head beside the tub digging a carbide blade for the sawzall out of my toolbox, he picked up a sledge hammer and without me seeing layed upon the tub with all of his strength. Have any of you ever had a gong wacked beside your head with all of the strength a 19 year old can muster? I thought a bomb went off, I jumped straight up in the air holding my head, looking around to see what the hell happened. Im yelling trying to find out if hes OK and realizing I cant hear a damn thing. My other guy, a friend I graduated high school with, having seen the entire event, is laying on the ground laughing, trying not to piss himself. That poor kid was standing there looking as scared as Ive ever seen anybody, thats when I saw the sledgehammer in his hands, and realization finally dawned. I had just been gonged. I started to laugh, but at that point realized I had almost crapped my pants, and my tightly clenched cheeks were all that was saving me from severe embarassment and any laughter could be bad very bad thing. Andy worked for me for about two years off and on after that while he was in school, but was never allowed to touch a sledgehammer again.
    HILARIOUS!

    2 TONE DOUBLE GONG!

Working on the plant removal of a house renovation when the guys doing the interior demo shoved a cast iron tub out a hole in the wall 3 stories above the empty job site container. Talk about some noise.

To save you some trouble next time. You put the drain at the front of the shower and not in the middle. That way all of the dirty water is not drain right by your feet. Just a thought.
