    Box I need Help!!!

High speed for hoos...... I know I need the bent butt 80's....... But some help in rigging and where to find the right lures would be of great help. Our idea of high speed here, has been around 12 knots. I want to be able to troll around 18. Is there a video on here? Thanks for any help!

AS LONG AS THE LURE STAYS IN THE WATER...HE CAN CATCH IT

YOU CAN'T OUTSWIM A HOO....BUT YOU CAN OUT RUN YOUR LURE AND ITS EFFECTIVNESS

PUT A TROLLING BAR IN FRONT OF THE THING WITH A SKIRT ON IT...SAY 12 FEET IN FRONT.....THAT WILL KEEP IT DOWN

PULL ONLY ONE RIG AT THAT SPEED....(18) .....TRUST ME

SOMEONE MUST SIT WITH THE ROD AS WELL AND HOLLER FOR YOU TO SLOW HER DOWN AT IMPACT.......

IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT KIND OF LURE IT IS....UGLY...PRETTY....HE JUST ATTACKS...THERE IS NO STUDYING A BAIT BY A WAHOO AT HIGH SPEED

    GOOD LUCK

Bent Butt 80's are the perfect outfits for HS applications...Trolling sinkers, shock leader and HS lures are the norm for Bahamian Wahoo tourney anglers...This system is easy to deploy and you can run 4-6 lines off the tip w/o problems.

HS trolling is highly effective for them Hoo's...We can cover over 100 miles trolling the ledge in a single day...Our largest tournament catch this past season resulted in 28 fish (30-40lb average) in two days.

I've been experimenting over the yrs. with different color heads...The Gold head has been showing suprising results...Gold head w/ Grn/Blk hair won the largest fish honors in its first tournament aboard Savanna Lynn...Forum Sponsor Melton's International has the exclusive on the Gold Head.

    For Rigging:

Use wire or cable lure leader...Make your lure leader no longer than 4'...When a Wahoo hits at HS, your lure has a tendency to slide up the leader...Your lure will stick next to the fish's body w/ a 4' lure leader...If your lure leader is longer than 4', the sliding lure will extend the fishes length...Many times others within the pack will attack the trailing lure...This will result in a "bite off" and you'll lose fish + rig.

Also, rig your HS lures with 0 degree double hook rigs...Wahoo attack tail first at high speeds....Set your hook rig back on your lure so the bottom hook's point just touches the skirt/hair end.
