Box, here's a torsa

Marty, you asked for it in Baywolf's thread. Here's a torsa 30 i just tore apart.

I'm not going to go crazy on what I did, what things are called, etc. Alantani does a much better job documenting than I could ever hope to do... Check his threads out. I learn at least a dozen things everytime i read one..

Here's the breakdown: Tear it down, keep things in an order you'll remember. Clean off the old grease, re-grease. Spool bearings get cleaned out then lubed with corrosion x, bearings that don't affect freespool get cleaned out then re-packed with grease. Clickers get lots of grease.. Always seem to get salt intrusion there. drags get coated with grease and excess gets wiped away.. gears cleaned off and relubed, etc..

When I got done with this one i put the 80lb braid back on it. It's ready for another season of tilefishing, jigging tuna, etc.

Hopefully I have to replace the drag washer next winter!!

Yes! All the dust and dog hair cleaned off them too!!

You know they always fall after you've cleaned them and put the new grease on...

Luckily I'm less than a mile from a shop with a great parts selection for when the springs shoot out and dissappear!
