I like the bowling pin teaser set-up, but I do it with baseball bats. Send your wife/significant other out on the garage sale circuit in the spring and you can have 10-12 pieces of hickory for about $20. Mitre cut the front and back at 30 deg angles, go to home dept and buy screw eyes and Rustoleum and paint them whatever color you want. I like the red/whaite and Mahi colors. You can put out a 200' chain for $100 that way.

I run a single or short chain right on the first wake and it has been deadly. It will come back with teeth marks in it.

    Best Catch
The next bite on a jig.
last year I was going to get one of these, but opted for the less complicated moldcraft fish fender teaser. I only through it out once last year, but caught a white off a bait right next to it.

I agree with the Arkster. I've fished many times with him. His teaser has raised plenty of fish. nylon coated cable.

    Boones Pins

I put out a 13 inch Boone Dolphin for trials yesterday on the 1st wakes front slope and it stayed in the water(up to 2-3 ft.) darting left and right,Looks like a REAL Dolphin back in the spread from the boat.

Looks like an awesome setup. IMy only quibble is as Ahi mentioned the snaps. I'd prefer direct to the pin personally. 'm sure it would look fantastic in the water but my main worry with a chain of pins having seen fish strike the teaser and leave, would be a big fish crashing into the middle of them and getting spooked. If I felt as confident blue marlin fishing w/o teasers then I would, but especially for bigger fish I'm very wary about using daisy chains. I like just one big teaser up short - I think if it's working right you'll raise fish and of course it saves you precious seconds clearing the pit if you do hook a big one. JMO though.

I used the snaps because I'd rather a big one take a pin than the whole rig. If the snap becomes a problem, I'll crimp directly to the pins.

I also am planning on a single pin setup, just want to try it all before I decide what works best for my application.

    Thanks for the input...

DO THE PINS WORK GOOD FOR RAISING DOLPHIN AND TUNA OF THE SMALER SIZES? WE DON'T TARGET BILLIES UNLESS THEY COME TO US SO IS IT WORTH RUNNIN EM'. BPS HAS A GOOD DEAL ON THE LU LU'S. WHICH SIZE SHOULD I GET 7 OR 13IN.

This will be my first time pulling pins, I went with the 13" bonitas, I'm looking for BUBBA.... I would think they would raise all kinds of fish though.. I have heard of big bulls, tunas and wahoos knawing on the pins.

I plan on rigging a smaller set later too.

Ahhh, So many toys, so little time, such sh^tty weather lately too......

It'll break soon and I'll be READY TO GO!!!!
