Still on the heavy side but doable .
Nope, not familiar with that. I gave up on senators recently due to the decline in their quality. Sounds like the one you propose is highly customized?
I am very happy with my saltiga 40 so far. Hate banging and scratching an expensive reel like that, but it would appear that quality components only come with big $

We went out about 35 miles yesterday and managed 8 reds and broke of a few. I'm in love with my new trinidad 50 It will bust their asses real quick. But you can't beat those saltists for the money.

First time I fished with Biscuit I had electrics and he had his saltist. Fishing his old boat he taught a great class, enough so that bought a saltist as a "back up". Ended up when weak armed friends came to fish they were fishing the electrics and I out fished them about 2.5 to one handcrankin. When catching these fish in this depth of water anything can happen. I am at the point in my bottom fishing I can fish either and still have a good time! On large fish, in deep water, with multiple anglers I think the electric is good just for clearing lines, that slob would have been in a pic here had I been fishing electric. Then again this is fishing and stuff happens.
