I could only make myself watch the first fish caught

The reason the "angler" had to pull the line onto the reel was because he did not use the rod as they are meant to be and the gearing was completely wrong for these grand fish. I wouldn't have been surprised to see him shot instead of gaffed so you could hit 100 % wrong.

These are the worlds most coveted fish. Put on a harness, buy appropriate tackle and put your weight to use. If you are going to take them with a big rig attached to the boat, follow the other commercial guys and drag him around behind the boat on 200 lb test and 65 lbs of drag till he drowns.

At a minimum don't make a video that may cause some other sap to mimic you!

Are you serious? This is a 1-2 man crew catching Giants in a 21 foot boat and you are going to criticize the way they are doing it as if there is no sport in it?????

    Wow ... that's a good one.

    Well stated Nauti!!!

Anyone who has watched Garon's solo videos cannot say that he's not one BAD A$$ DUDE. Fight the fish, control the boat, harpoon the fish and then get 300-400 pounds of meat on the boat without any assistance at all. Don't know about the rest of you but my hats off to him.
