Blue fin leader

It's never to early to start making rigs. Whats the preferred leader material for Giant Blue fin Tuna? Lb test fluoro/ mono, swivel size, hook size?

130-300lb test fluorocarbon.

Just depends on how stealthy you want to get.

We use 200lb test Seaguar. I also use a full 30m skeen on each reel.

I use a spro 250 lb test wind-oh swivel crimped on the fluoro end and a tigers paw with braid on the other end.

I use 10 and 11/0 Mustad 7691's I believe. The tuna recurved hook.

Crank his butt right to the gaff.

40 feet of 180 or 200 flouro. Spro 280 (I think, whatever the one in the mid 200's is) windon swivel. 7692 11 or 12/0. Chafe gear at all connections.

Pink on Pink Hawaiin Eye with mylar was best for me last year.
