Do you hook the swimmer fin using a circle or use a halter?
Should the claws be disabled?

Taking off the claws is usually the first step! Then I run the hook through the swimmer fin knuckle and out of the apron corner. Then right before dropping them over step on him to crack open the shell and squish out some yummy crab juice.
Any crab rigging experts out there?
i asked some questions on this a while back, look at that link/thread, and u should know all u want to know about rigging a crab, and perhaps a lil more :-)

But here they are not used at all...How would any tarpon cap or efficianato suggest I rig the abundant blue crabs here? I get big one mostly and they are everywhere. The only problem with the experiences I have had of yet is they swim below thge oxygen layer(10')die, and get covered in mud. Freakin bobber or what? Any valid opinions are welcome...

I have fished big squid and everything else on a kite and have tried convincing this hardheade cuban I work for to do threadfins and mojarra off the kite, but never thought of that. Have you ever actually done it on tarpon? My question would be the release clip...Would she feel the clip and drop the bait or more likely jump six feet out of the water at the slightest pressure from the clip? I am waiting with bated breath!!! Tell me what you know I mean!!!

Dman25,
Could you clarify the hook / apron step?
You run the circle hook through the swimmer fin and then run the hook through the apron - or leave the hook set in the apron?
Thanks
