There is a great Tuna Tournament each year the weekend after Memorial Day out of the Pirates Cove Resort and Marina entitled the PIRATES COVE TUNA ROUNDUP. The fishing is usually excellent for Yellowfin in the 40 to 75 lb range, Bigeye in the 80 to 235 lb range, nice gaffer size Mahi and Big Blue Marlin that time of year. If you don't have access to a boat, there are 2 excellent fleets out of the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center and the Pirates Cove Marina.
