Got a call from Biscoto around 9:00 this morning and kinda knew what the subject matter was goin to be. Are you ready to go kill a cobia it's that time man? Yeah man, count me in. After wrapping things up with work, we were on our way. Caught bait in the waterway and we headed off to the 20 mile area. We caught a couple of gags and after a while Biscoto hooked into a critter that started swimming on him and had his rod bent pretty good. His line made it's way to the surface and we could see that it was a fella in a brown suit. He made some nice runs and started to wear himself out. Biscoto had him on his trevala jigging rod so he was pretty well matched. A few minutes later he came to join us. Here is Biscoto with today's targeted critter.
Tried a couple of other spots in the 20 mile range. The last spot that we fished had better water and spooked some flyers as we were approaching. Light line was deployed and produced this gaffer mahi.
I believe somebody is glad to be back home. Congratulations on a nice cobia brother Biscoto. No complaints. Life is good. Slip.
