Why no responce..............Could it be that the circle hooks are the culprit????????On the first 2 days we had 4 blues come in and crash the flat line with the Black Bart PR prowler but would not come back.On day 3 we changed up and put some meat(Spanish) on the flat lines and did the bait and switch with out any luck. The 4th day we did a mix of Ballyhoos and Spanish along with the BB.Next year we will be live baiting going for the home run.

Fished two and half days with half meat and half lures didn't see a bill, put out all lures wednesday afternoon and finally seen a white. Started out saturday morning with all lures @ 9 knots pulled behind the rock and a blue at the left long Hot Breakfast had her on a 130 and to the boat quick jumped 50 feet of the stern and her whole body came out of the water, she was fat the fatest short fish I have seen, she was pushing 375 but didn't make the cut.

I would also be cool to know of the fish that hit lures, what percentage stayed hooked vs. Meat/Circle...

    Big Rock

We pulled lures from Sat. to Sat.on the James Joyce II. We won the Ladies day with two nice fish 550#-600# and a 500#. We ended up releasing two more during the week and pulled off a heartbreaker of a fish about 40yds. out that was really big. We ended up jumping off 3 or 4 more and had a couple that hit but didn't get the hooks. Had pitch baits ready but really didn't seem to need them.

    Speed

Our speed was right there in that range depending on the sea conditions. Everything seemed to just come together last week. We were so close to the big money but such is life and fishing. Do your best and don't worry about the rest.
