the latest prototype uses a kevlar mitt and two coats of latex. it is cut resistant (probably level 3) and will stop small pricks from hooks and fins. this will hopefully be the first version that i get made. though i have been having difficulty getting a glove manufacturer to committ to making the mitt.

i hope to come out with a second version that will be punture resistant. the only two ways of acheiving puncture resistance (that i have found, but im no glove expert) is either to use leather or insert a pad that has several layers of stainless mesh. since i'm having trouble with the easy version the puncture version will be later down the road. but puncture resistant to fend off hard head catfish spines would be the bomb.
