BFT Non catch report 1 24 07
Once again we failed to catch the elusive bft! Put in at 645AM just past the trawler, trolled to the shad and nw places and back to the sea bouy (sounds like a broken record). Maybe 20 boats fishin and heard of one being caught at the sea bouy. This was confirm by the USGC man who boarded us! That was the highlight of the trip. As usual the coastie's where polite, friendly and thorough.We actually had fun with them. Zero violations and lots of nice praise on the cleanliness,organization and equipment on the boat!!
I better stop report no catch's as nobody will want to go with me:-(.
Had the pleasure of Cap Don plus two fellow NC Waterman, Bob Murphy and John Cohen aboard! Overall nice day on the pond.

YOUR HONEST REPORT IS ALL SO A DITTO TO MOST OF OUR SEASON....IT HAS BEEN TOUGH .....AT LEAST FOR SOME....I THINK THE S2N BOAT CAUGHT 50% OF THE QUOTA THIS YEAR!!!

heard of one fish hooked at the nuckle bouy 1/24 sounds like they are gone for the season

I've been at this for a while and lost track of the date but if I under stood correctly, yesterday there were 5 caught and 4 were after 12:30. Today was another day and don't have a report for the afternoon but the morning was slow and the front moved in a little sooner than thought. We were back early than I thought we would come in as they were cutting the water off at all the docks due the freeze tonight.
