I like a shoe that dries quickly. I wear Island Pros, with the ankle straps, not the thong sandals. not the best support for long days, but the grip is good and they dry quickly.

Anyone in the Hampton Roads area having foot pain trouble would be well advised to stop by Montagna's Shoe Store and talk to Lucian. I did a couple years ago, and after he checked out what I was wearing, and taking some measurements, he told me I had been wearing the wrong size shoes for years. He got me set up with the right size shoes and some inserts (I didn't need customs) to make them fit right. I think we went through about half a dozen sets of inserts until everything felt right. It made a huge difference in comfort, and my feet weren't aching when I got back from fishing after that.
Lucian's a great guy and will set you up right if you can get to his shop.
If you aren't near here, find someone like him in your area and you will not be disappointed.
