    Belly strips?

I saved the belly strips off of the mahi from 4/24, are they good for pulling for anything but mahi??? I never hear much about guys here using strips, YFT, BFT and Hoos???? I see in magazines they are pulled for billfish down south. I have used them for mahi which seem to eat anything. I usually put on hook then use a small zip tie the leading end to the hook shank. Any info appreciated

While you are going old school you might as well rig it with a red and white Jap feather. A long forgotten but extremely effective combo.

Also, bailer bellies cut into chunk size are some of the best bailer bait there is. Dolphin are big time canabals.

First time I ran out of bait we were on bailer dolphins. I got to tell you it was hard cutting one up, a dolphin, when it could have gone on the grill, but it netted us plenty more than if we would have just called it a day. Hard to let go but worth the price if there chewing.

I'll second that. Rig 'em with feathers. Can't miss.
