Dad and little bro went to my grand parents old house in new bern the other day to mow and fix up some things so bro can move in.Well dad gets in the back yard and the heat pump is gone,the sorry sobs cut the wires and duct work and off it went,Then he notices his old air jack for lifting vehicles so he could work on them is gone too,that thing had to weigh over 1000 lbs.The heat pump was probally stripped and sold for junk,but they may try to sell the jack.Dad freaked out talking about 200 fathoms and cinder blocks ,if he could catchem.I know this is a shot in the dark,but if anyone hears about an old air jack for sale give dad aka capt.Ray a call--252 670 9767.The jack is about 7 feet long with an air tank in the middle,and its an old one probally made in the 60s and worked like a new one.

I know the outside AC units have been a hot theft item. A friend of mine has a condo at Sneeds Ferry(not an end unit) and someone took his brand new one that he replaced last year. Be sure to check Craigs list for the jack.

Scrap metal yards is your best bet to find the jack. Search junkyards and scrap metal depots. They will sell it to them but the JY will probobly use it to lift cars to dismantle.

If it is a reputable scrap yard and they did sell it then the yard should have a copy of their drivers license.
