Baywolf kills another and another..... UPDATE!

Baywolf gave me a call this afternoon to give me the latest update on his summer trip. Yesterday evening another boat fishing near Baywolf and his captain hooked up around 5:30pm on a monster BFT, they fought the fish for 2 hours and couldn't make any head way with it and asked for help. Rick jumped boats and went on the rod, said the fish was strung out 300 to 400yds back and they backed down on the fish pretty quick, then things get nasty. He said it was rough as snot something like 6 to 8 stacked up, well the fish is thru playing takes off and the real fight began, Rick fought the fish for another 5 1/2 hours before finally putting the poon in it around 12:30 am this morning, whew!!!! Nearly 8 hours to kill this monster Back at the dock this morning 4:30am they backed into unload and the little boom they had on the dock to unload with creaked and groaned as a 119 in. monster BFT layed on the dock, that is nearly 10ft. of !!! He also said the fish laying on the deck was 3 1/2 ft. thick!!

The kid unloading gave them the run around on getting a live weight, something about the scales being messed up? Rick said a 116in. fish was landed the other day that went 1200 to 1300 lbs. and the 119 was noticabally bigger, so they all figure this fish was a easy 1400lbs. I hope to have a pic soon and Rick said when he can get to a computer he'll tell the whole story. He said the bite has been going off where they are near Chatham, Mass.

All I can say is congrats Rick, be safe and kill another for me

Congrats to baywolf and crew. The bite has been insane from what I hear down there right now. Hopefully it stays long enough for me to get a shot at them.......

Someone please pass the advil! What a catch! If anyone can stay with a fish like that for 5 hours "the block" would be the one. Can't wait for the whole story and hopefully some pictures.

Good God ! Almost SIX hours on the rod. That is nuts. It takes a MAN to pull that off.

My hat is off to Baywolf and the crew.Congratulations on a world-class catch.
