Friends had one on last season from 7:30 in the morning until around 7:30 that night. Standup on a 28 CC. They were absolutely exhausted. They kept taking turns on the rod. But I can't imagine how they handled that pressure that long. And hard to believe those leaders will hold up that long. Lost it beside the boat when it made a roll. Pulled the hook, lip gaff, and harpoon dart all in one roll. It was the biggest bluefin I've ever seen.

I know those guys are exhausted. Fish on the dock is always nice. But they did catch a great fish story.

These guys have been quitely kill their fair share of these things for a long time. They are not celeberties on million dollar yachts with unlimited funds, they are like most down here, they need the money and thereforehave gotten very good at what they do. While you may not hear much about them here on the www., the are great fishermen and better people. This will only awaken the beast.

I hate to hear that about the pulled hook. These 2 guys are CLASS!!! Capt Pete and Gray put me on my very first bluefin. They are first class and they will definately lay their share on the deck this season. I sure hate they lost this one. Go get em Pete and Gray!!!

WHAT A STORY......I TIP MY HAT TO YOU FELLOWS FOR HANGING IN THERE THE ENTIRE FIGHT......JUST LOGGED BACK ON AFTER A BUSY MESS OF DAYS IN A ROW......SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT THE LOSS......BUT I AM SURE THAT WILL PLAY A HUGE PART IN LANDING THE NEXT COUPLE OF FISH......WHAT A STORY.....IT HAPPENS TO THE BEST OF THE BEST - I HOPE THESE FELLOWS FIND THAT FISHES GRANDPOP NEXT TRIP.......GOOD LUCK FELLOWS!
