Barta Tournament Thank You

Thank you to all individuals and families who fished the 2011 Barta Tournament. Over 215 trophies were given out and the billfish bite was hot on Saturday with 27 releases in just one day which made for some great excitement among the top boats. A total of 38 billfish were released and many of them were to first time anglers. Tred had a great time pushing the new billfish “club members” into Taylors Creek.

Before the tournament even started on Friday Dave S gave us some of the most exciting news of the tournament. John Eppehimer had donated the Barta Website Rebuild and made an extremely generous donation to the tournament and I mean extremely generous! We thank both John and Jer for all they have done for the tournament over the years. Sometimes they take a very low profile and do not get the recognition they deserve. These are two amazing individuals with a heart of gold.

A huge thank you to everyone and a special thank you to all who were associated with the tournament this year.
