Congrat's on a tough weekend of fishing to the RUN-OFF crew. Those kids had an awesome time. Captain Brian and Marty, sounds like you guys went above and beyond to make it a great trip for everyone.

Great job boys, and I mean the whole crew, with all the great fishing and boys being boys on the boat to make such an interesting thread and amazing pictures. I said a while back that I would make an all out effort to let my 3 boys fish the RUN-OFF in 2011 and this thread should make any dad out there want to take a group of kids fishing!

Ponce, this post should be pasted on the Barta website. You said it all, and said it so well. Congrats to the Run Off crew and these fine young men. What a bunch of warriors! Made me remember our first Barta when my boys were young. They still talk about that weekend and meeting Tred and having him sign their longbows. Good times, indeed.

Every year after the tournament I have that exhausted feeling, well the truth is it is not a feeling I am exhausted. We all spend the week trying to make sure all the moving parts keep moving each day and night. While I am there watching everything I am really not absorbing what is going on.

THANK YOU Pounce for this post, photos and everyone’s comments. Each year several people remind me, through stores, of why I love doing what I do organizing this tournament. I love the kids at the Boys & Girls Clubs and know how important the funding is to them and seeing the photo’s and hearing the stories about the kids fishing and winning trophies and metals cannot do anything but bring a tear to my eye and a huge smile on my face. This post has just given me the energy to start all over again! But I will have a lot to do first to undo this year.
