After a long day of no bites and no tuna for me. I even caught yellowtails on the kite. I decided it was time to do as the west coast boys do and get a little potassium....muscles felt better, but my luck didn't improve.

The boat however took 115 YFT and plenty of yellowtail and others!!

Cases of bananas onboard for the trip.... "trollin ain't fishing"....and a few other quirky odds and ends... they just got a different way of doin' it, but they did Get'R Done.

You know, I never worried about the banana jinx, only fishing, and I noticed the tuna were biting at the back of the boat just on the other side of the rail....where as you were up on the poop deck making movies and checking out the F.O.B. (fruit on board)...Then you actually ATE a banana, talk about bad mojo and asking for a blank.

Thought I check in here once more before heading out of town and I'm glad I did. Thanks.

BTW, Do you have any video of the action, I mean besides you eating bananas?

Went on a trip this past weekend...a friend of mine showed up that had never been outside of an inlet. I saw he had brought some beer and a bag lunch. He was hungover so he dug in before we reached the inlet and low and behold, that son of a ***** pulled out a banana!! Well, I went apesh%t and told him to eat it and then throw the peel away before we got into the big blue but we were probably already screwed. Mad as hell I put in the first bait, got the second leader in my hand and bam! Screaming drag Next thing I know a 25 pound king is in the box, never went more than 15 minutes without a bite the rest of the short trip, 5 kings, 5 mahi, a Cuda, a billfish crashed my rigger but didn't come tight, and two on the boat that had never been in the ocean didn't get sick! I hate to say it but the next time I go out, I might be sponsored by Chiquita.

goota say i agree with you. my brother and i have been fishing together since wee kids and he eats one or two on every trip we go on. both the catching ones and the skunks.
