    Ballyhoo whats more important............

What do you think is more important when ballyhoo fishing? A perfect looking bait orange tail, no missing scales, nice blue back BUT it dosent swim perfect. Or would you rather have a not so good looking bait that swims perfect?

I'll take the perfectly swimming vibrator as long as it doesn't stink and leave a sour taste in the pointy mans mouth once he picks it up

I would have to say "swimming perfect"...if it doesn't swim perfect there is NO WAY it can look natural. At least if its swimming well you have a chance

Swimming is important but what ever happened to the old skipping ballyhoo. I have seen, missed and caught alot of fish on a skipping ballyhoo. They seen to have gone away since the circle hook thing.

Anybody can make a bait skip, lots of people can make a bait swim but I like to give it a heart beat. I don't think a hoo or bill fish could give a hoot about weather a bait has a few missing scales, a blue or black back or an orange tail. Granted we all want a perfect swimmer that looks perfect too but if had my choice I would rather have my bait trying to out swim the boat than have a pretty looking spinner or side swimmer.

You always know that you have a good bait when you can't see it.

Get your bait from the Big Rock Fishing Center and rig it right.Take the time to prep your bait and the rest is up to you.

HMM! good question. Let me see how that Drone spoon or a cedar plug swims and I'll get back to ya if the ballyhoo needs to be "perfect"
