Bait Motel or Bait City?????

I was at the marina on Saturday helping a friend do some work on his boat and some guy pulled into the parking lot with this rather huge bait motel/city. I have seen alot of bait motels in my time but never anyone as large as this thing.

I would have to call that baitsville.....you know your serious about your bait when you have to rent an extra slip for your bait pen

My slip mate had one just like it when I was in Southport... Between the Great Blue Heron (with a limp) and the otters, we couldn't keep baits in a mesh pen - had to put hard plastic over the top...

Its about that time of the year for the pogeys to be making the rounds of E-Dock... Usually within cast net range of the dock...

Things have changed considerably since you were last there Fred. Can't throw a net off the docks anymore since they built all floating docks out of some fancy Brazilian wood. This bait motel was made out of a hard plastic mesh so the whole thing was rigid. half of the top opened up. So far as pogies they were thick along Caswell beach between lighthouse and hot hole. There was a 200 yd long mudball about 60 yards off the beach.
