    Bad To The Bone

I see so much about new toys, but I gotta say---

A Taigra 50 Narrow spooled all the way w/ braid is--- BAD TO THE BONE.

I just added another to the spread for the longs, loaded with 100 lb test spectra-- (40 yds mono backing) 725 yds 100 lb test braid. The 100 lb is much nicer than 80 lb as the additional diameter will give a measure of "foregiveness" with any tangle issues.
Play with this you yellowbellies and Wahoos, I got some some shit for your ass (again) after a short strike.

I've used this setup for a season and a half ( this will be my third), Rods, reels--- yea--- ho hum. but this sombich is BAD TO THE BONE.

You don't even need a 50. Pick yourself up an Avet EXW 4/0. You will kick a 50 lb yellowfins ass in less 5 minutes.

Plus w/ the braid wind does not effect your long rigger baits much at all.

Tim, I don't know if you've ever fooled w/ braid before--- but if not, it is unforgiving as hell. Play with it on the flats, then shorts for a while before you tackle the longs on a windy day.
This may be the future heat for Blue Marlin, I dunno--- but for now, it is one bad ass meat set up.--- the Narrow is the key that makes it so fun and enjoyable and flat out yanks a knot in there ass the first time, (or second after a miss).

I got a Avet-- nice reel, suck ass clickers-- no stop on lever. Wanna good deal on one?

Oh, it ain't about kicking his butt--- that's not my point. The point is no stretch, and banjo him back to the bait.

Yeh the clickers suck bad . Other than that It's all I will buy nowadays. The stop does not bother me.

    PM sent regarding reel.

edit: yes the abiltiy to have a direct attitude adjustment on the bait is great also. 1" of pull forward on the line = 1" of bait movement.

I like White Battle Line but it's hard too find anymore. Been using Green Spider wire on the 50's. Just bought some color coded Courtland 150lb for the planer rod but don't know if it's any good yet or not.
