August in El Salvador

The fishing has been kind of slow, after having bloodbaths every weekend the dorados have learned not to hit the lures

Its kind of strange but you can see them, swimming straight to the spread, but they don’t hit the lures and disappear. I know I have to use meat to incite them, but mullet is kind of difficult to get this time of the year, so next week end am going with bonito strips. I have been having a difficult time with the sailfish, some 4 to 6 in the spread but no hookups, I just get to nervous to hook them( I love this, I call it the t Sailfish fever) My hooking ratio has come from 70% to 0 how about that.
I have also been scouting some inshore fishing were you can shoot and troll at the same time

Shoot and troll at the same time. I take it your not shooting fish . Sounds like an exciting concept.

Nice pics JP. I am actually heading down to San Salvador monday. Short trip though, I fly out on Thursday and am slammed in between. I swear though, sometime I will schedule an extra day and get some fishing in down there.

That’s really bad; I’m leaving El Salvador for a wedding in Nicaragua on Wednesday. Let me know in were you are staying, maybe I can pass by and have a couple of beers.

Your killing me so bad it hurts!

The smell of the coffee on Box's counter alone made me want to move there.
Now I see the panga fishing inside...Mahi's all over the place...sitting on the beach having a cool one with waves just peelin in the background. I look forward to the next post...even though my coffee will never be right again.

Absolutely some of the coolest pics I've seen in a long time- dude, I don't know how the hell you rock a beard in that sun but it's cool as hell. Thanks for sharing your world...looking forward to the next JP edition....
