Got e-mail notification last week 9/24/08 that my TWIC was ready to be picked up. Great. Made an appointment for Wed. 10/1/08 @ 3:30pm.The USCG had originally stated must have (at least in my area )by 9/08. No problem I'm all set tp pick mine on 10/1/o8. So Sun I get home and in the Sat. mail is a letter from the USCG. Inside is states that the time to get the TWIC has been extended til 04/15/2009. To late I'm already in for $132.50!OH WELL!!!The app to pick up is so they can make up the bio/finger print part right there. It was'nt to much trouble except that I had to budget in an additional $132.50 in my lisc/permit schedule for the year.
Does'nt sound like much but these days I'm not exactly flush with cash not to mention the $460 I just spent on a new fuel pump for the outboard.My wife raves on yearly about my all the fees for permits state and Federal but it pays to be fully credentialed! I'm glad I did .
