Artificial Dredge

What is the best artificial bait to make a dredge out of? I recently bought some Mann's Ultimate hoos to make a dredge out of, but I don't know how to connect the hoos to the dredge bar. I have heard of people wiring them up with a swivel, but I don't know this would not rip to hoo. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also pictures would be great.

Ice cream mans suggestion should work , also offshore innovations and tournament cable have chripes i don't know what to call them , they are pins that are barrels on one end and a ring on the other, they screw right into the artificial... ill see if i can find one and get a picture. As far as bait, there are any amount of combinations you could use, i have an ilander dredge that i will put ballyhoo on, i have a squidnation squid dredge, i have flashing fish, mullet. etc

you need to build one, you purchase the bar , then get the squids from bill....

calebw - I will take a picture of our new dredge. We made a squid dredge about two years ago and stopped using it for no other reason then everyone told us to use natural mullets.

We chartered the Espadon for the WMO and he asked if I had a squid dredge. So I brought it along and we raised and caught a fish off of it. Needless to say we have trolled it the res of the season and have had great success. We went 9 for 9 on the predator as well as a couple fours and fives. Many of those fish visibly came off the dredge. Here are some shots of the dolphin that came up on it.

We had some nice shot of a billfish next to the dredge. But thanks to Mover II you can find that camera at 42760.85 in 43 fathoms

When I was in Custom Marine on Friday, I saw they had some blue shads that really caught my eye.

Here is our natural squid dredge. I know it doesn't reflect well here in the picture but the tenticles actually light up electric blue/purple once they hit the water.

We had so much success with our natural teaser chain with the pink floats that we wanted to have pink inserts in the dredge but we couldn't use pink floats because the dredge would plain in and out of the water. so we individually spray painted each 2 oz. egg sinker with flourescent pink paint.

now thats purrtyy, one question bill , how come floats in the squids instead of egg sinkers ????

sweet rigging there!! very very nice.. looks like it would raise fish from 10000000000 fathoms!! lol
