The door is always open. Came to North Carolina form Atlanta for a Memorial day visit 9 years ago and have called it home ever since.
There is some joke about Hemrroids, Northerners, I95 and North Carolina.

Something like if they just drop down for a visit, they are not that bad but if they come down and stay down, they are a pain in the ass.
