Any idea on the weight of Trophy's Marlin at Big Rock?

If it was weighed, I missed it. Tough break.

I'm curious myself, I've looked on every website that I thought might have it posted. Even in the Big Rock forums, nothing.

John said it was somewhere around 750 to 850. It seams that the prop nicked it and when they were winching it aboard, the cable broke and the nick split open when it fell back into the water. Sad John and for the crew

You could see it was torn up pretty bad in the video feed. They couldn't even lift it up.

Didn't they bust a wheel too?

119.5 inches with a 70 inch girth..estimated at 800 lbs mate dropped the leader as they were gaffing and it got in the wheels. Damn shame but **** happens. Boat has a history of raising fish so I'm hoping they get the opportunity to redeem themselves

    I hate it for them

Nice work on the release today though, slow start quantity wise for the tournament

NCSU biologist weighed what was left of the fish yesterday...761

Safe estimate would have put her over 800 I would think
