    Another squid chain tip.

Byrds excellent thread brings up another point. Hook baits for chains and bars. The most popular are ballyhoo/witch combos, GMs, or simply putting a hook in one of the rubber squids. But don't overlook the obvious choice.

Rig up a fresh natural squid with a 1 oz egg sinker to keep it 6 inches under the surface behind that chain, and put a pink or red seawitch on it's nose.

Good tip Bert!!! I like to put a swivel in the last squid so you can change out the witch if it gets destroyed

cool idea - never tried that but will have to. I have always used a snap in the last unrigged bait as mentioned, but always used an artificial. Planned to try some hoos behind the stuff (bars and chains) more this year - but the squid is a definite must try!

    Thanks!
