No, we didn't have to sweat bar crossings in Alaska, but I could take you through a salt chuck at the top of Traitor's Cove (Off west Behm Canal) near Ketchikan that would rate right up there for seat cushion button harvesting. Why do it? Dungeness Crab up to 14" across! And in those days we were young and stupid.

we had a salmon charter outfit there. You wonder why I laugh at what they call rough here in south florida??? we had to stay outside the bar sometimes till the tide changed there due to weather..

After beating our way down from Destruction Island it was always a drag to get shut down..So close but yet so far, the nice thing about Westport was there were always a few watering holes open to help take the edge off when we finially got in..
