    Aluminum crimps

Can anyone recc. a place to get the long single sleeve aluminum crimps to fit 100# Diamond? Tried four shops locally and no one has them. I'll order online, as not in a big rush. Has to be the long ones though, not the short ones. Not comfortable with the crimps I'm using, so would like to get the ones that hold the best, and that's single sleeve long aluminum. I've searched the net, but all those new engines that have sprung up lately have really ruined internet searching ability.

I normally have used the double sleeve copper as well. But testing by one of the crimp suppliers, I believe Momoi, proved that the single sleeve aluminum crimp held the best. I may still have the link to it somewhere. But only the long single sleeve, not the short ones. Amount of surface area of contact with the fluoro or mono was critical. And the aluminum is softer, so it molds around the line, vs the harder copper that tended to 'squash' the line, weakening it.

I've tried plenty of both kinds. Personally, I've never seen any difference. They both have worked fine. But I usually go light with my drags too. Still, I want the strongest connection I can get. If only I could find the long single sleeves for 100# Diamond!

Don't see a web site for Black Bart. All these new search engines have destroyed being able to find stuff on the web!
