Shane from S2N brought up a good point on the main thread and Mr Pino is off putten a whopen on some sails someplace so I figured I'd jump in here.

If your coming in for this innagural tuna round up and are going to have to make plans to stay in a hotel, post up here and maybe we can get a group rate at one of the local hotels.

Plenty of good spots to choose from so if we had some idea, we could begin "negotiations."

Let us know if you are interested. And NO, there will be no rooms by the hour!

I have stayed in most every motel/hotel in Carteret County (some even for the entire night)
By far, my favorite is AMERI SUITES in Atlantic Beach.
The rates are cheaper than comfort Inn, etc and you get a nice little suite instead of a cube room. Much nicer and quiter atmosphere too.
7 minutes to the charter fleet.-- 2 minutes to the Beach Tavern
rate w/o group discount is $65/ night double occupancy.

IF YOUR PARTNER/KID IS STILL IN SCHOOL.....PALEEESE.....FOR ONCE ...TAKE HIM OUT OF SCHOOL EARLY ENOUGH TO ARRIVE IN MHC WITHOUT HIM OR HER BEING DOG TIRED FOR SATURDAYS BLOODBATH

I SEE THIS YEAR AFTER YEAR....NO SLEEP...DRIVE ALL NIGHT...THEN YOU GIVE THEM BODINE...OR SOME OTHER SEA SICKNESS DETERANT AND THEY STILL STAY SICK ALL DAY!

TO THE TEAMS THAT DRAW OUT THE "BITE ME"...AND THE OTHER WORLD CLASS CREWS IN THIS EVENT ......YOU WILL BE ACTIVELY INVOLVED IN THE HUNT SO BE WELL RESTED

Just talked to the Sales manager at Ameri Suites. Typically they raise their rates that weekend to 85 per night. They will keep it at 69/night if we book within the next week or so. Would need 4 rooms minimum and they have a full breakfreast spread that they would arrange to have out at 5 AM for their guests.

So far I'm seeing SeaBicuit and Trojan Joe step up. If anyone else is interested, please let me know and I'll have her hold the rooms and make arrangements for booking.

Having stayed in the area many nights, 69 per ain't bad.

Be sure to check with the confort inn. We stay their every winter bluefinning and you might be supprised at the rates they would proably be willing to give, especialy for a group event like this.
