Albacore Tuna

Does anyone keep these fish, if so are they eatable or can you cut them up and freeze them for bailing dolphin. Any other usues? Do you catch many in NC waters? We hooked up on several ysterday, just wondering what everyone else does with them. Thanks

correction, these were false albcore. when you say bait, are you talking about cutting up for bailing for dolphin?

you can freeze it. I've known people to eat it but I have never been that hungry. Yes they are abundant in NC.

I'm talking about False (fat albert) Albecore. We here them wrongly refered to as albecore all the time.

True albecore (longfins) are white meat tuna.
