Team BeagleMan fished out of Low Falls Landing today. Team Beagleman made up by Beagleman, Donnie, and myself. We departed about 12pm. The bite was slower today, but the fish were REAL NICE. We got an assortment of fishes, Shellcracker, Bream, Mollys, Bass, one big turtle, and alot of small Catfish. Totals for today: 83 panfish, 12 catfish, 1 bass, 1 crappie, 1 turtle, 2 mudfish, and too many white pearch to count. The white pearch will feed the coons good tonight.
Also we saw drove after drove of DUCKS. Hope they stick around a little while.
I think that you should write a book about ya'lls fishing adventures because every time I see a post from you I have to read it! I grew up catching blue gill and crappie bass and catfish! Great story
Life gives me a new perspective and outlook daily.

What are you refering to...
when you say white perch? In the deep south crappie are white perch and in Louisiana they are sac-au-lait. Do you have a picture of one? Nice report and pics BW.
Team Beagleman rocks, as usual. Very nice mess of fish and vibrant southern writing. I really enjoy these reports, please keep them up!
Captain Michael, here in the atlantic coast white perch is a relative of stripped bass found mostly in brackish and fresh water http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_perch
If indeed this is the fish that Beagle woman is talking about, I too would like to know why they don't keep them. They are usually excellent eating, better than most fresh water fish.
That's getting ready for some serious Fish Fry!!! Makes me wanna grill some catfish.
Nice sparkling eye on that first bream picture....
Do you bread or catch your own crickets?
If you have too many ducks send some up to central NC!

This is the only pic I got of what I am calling a white perch. It is not the white bass. It is a nuisense fish. A thrash fish. A fish that eats the baby rockfish that we are trying to save. I have never heard of anyone eating this fish. They rob the bait intended for a game fish. They take the food away from the fish who need it. I am sure there is another name for this fish. something Americana I think. It has been removed from the gamefish list here and there is no limit on them. I would love to find someone who would be willing to eat this fish. I could fill his freezer full. LOL
