Best Catch: Beagleman
7-1-09 Low Falls Limits

BeagleMan and I had the pleasure of fishing with SanteeCarl today. We met at the landing at 6 this morning. When we were launching the boat BeagleMan noticed a gator cruising the area. I did not get his pic, but later in the day I had the chance to snap a couple shots of a much bigger one. Also got to watch DNR shock fishing for juvenile shad they said. We could see the fish jumping out the water as the boat trolled along the bank.

We wound up keeping 60 bream and 20 or so catfish. I believe SanteeCarl had nearly the limit. It was very nice to meet another internet forum member. Crickets and Catawaba worms were the bait of choice.

A good time was had by all.

Yep got his pic. He/she was a nice one. Glad to see him, for a while I thought the hunting season was hard on them. It came out and checked us out, putted around the area and headed to the middle of the river, and went out of sight.
