6/28 Bottom Trip

Had everyone at the house at 6am loaded and ready to go on what was guarenteed to be "slick calm in the morning but it might blow in the afternoon". Sloppy chop and confused seas made the trip long and bumpy. I stopped short of the number on a nice ledge to give everyone a rest and pulled a nice trigger up on the first drop. I made a comment about how if I caught a grouper I would reward myself with a cold beverage, bang the only gag of the day. We decided to slide on to the number dropped the hook and and it was on. Red grouper after red grouper. We proceeded to fill the boxes and point her back at the hill. The following sea even with the chop allowed me to let her eat and make almost 30kts most of the way back insuring that the boat and the fish were all cleaned nice and early.
