6/26: Began And Ended Well...
...but everything in between was lame!
Started, as usual, 2 miles inshore of the 14. High waves but not many whitecaps. I just had to go around 14 knots to get out there.
About a mile west of the 14 I pick up a small mahi on Tuna XXX.
Trolled for a while longer. Caught a nice one on my new Yozuri Bonita. I expected to catch a wahoo, not a mahi on it. But I'll take it. Keep in mind that the lure is 8-3/8 inches long in the picture below.

A lot of painful short strikes around the 90. Trolled for a few hours with nothing.
At 1PM, decided to head to the Big 10 for one last hurrah. Trolled over the structure for a while and was about ready to pull in lines when I saw a series of little splashes speeding towards my Tuna Candy lure. Suddenly the drag screams like Maria Sharapova on her wedding night. Picked up a nice gaffer off of that one.

Diminishing winds out of the southwest. You know what that means. A beautiful ride home. Visibility was limited though. I couldn't navigate into Beaufort Inlet by looking for the Radio Island condos from 6-7 miles out like I usually do.
Video is here.

You had fun, got some meat, and returned safe. Nice report.

Nice!
Thanks for the report.
Do you pull all artificials?
And from your recent reports, you seem to be by yourself. How many lines are you able to manage?

Yes, I pull all artificials. Saves time and money.
I usually run 4 lines.
