6/21 MHC Weather report - and a few fish

Headed out yesterday looking for some early mahi and then push offshore...

The forecast said a chance of afternoon thunderstorms - That usually means 3:00 - 4:00 = Didn't realize that meant 12:01PM yesterday

Found some scattered weed around 30 Fa and were able to pick up a couple quickly, but never really found a solid weedline - the rips were there, just no weed.

We started working off into deeper water - nice looking rip on the horizon and found a couple more free-range mahi.

Then the thunderstorm fills the entire radar - Maybe we need to be thinking about getting away from this mess as we can see lightning and hear the thunder... Just as we are pulling lines in, the wahoo hit - 37 lbs - Its prepped and ready for the grill.

Thankfully the heaviest rain didn't set in until we had everything put up and more importantly the lightning let up

Still nice to be on the water, get back a bit early with something for the grill.
