6-09-09 Santee report Low Falls

We went after the bream, but had no luck with them today. Ended up catching one decent flathead, twenty smaller cats, and TWO bream. The water was muddy, even around the islands across the river from the landing. Seemed the Catawabas were the favorite bait. Tried earth worms and crickets. Water was high and very muddy. There was very little river bank exposed. You could see and hear the bream feeding on the may flies, guess with the full moon maybe they fed during the night and just were not interested this morning.

Saw some yesterday, but they wont let you ride by a second time to get the pic. Tried it, and they all left quickly when the boat turned around. I am waiting to catch one when I am ready with the camera.
