    that is a link to an article featuring a 73lb fish caught out of va beach...i just dont see 20lbs difference in the two fish...i bet your fish was everybit of 60-65lbs maybe even 70plus considering the one in the link was measured at 52 inches

    very possible as it pegged a 55# hand scale. the certified scale read 53??? not sure guess ill never know. a bunch of people said over 60 but again never know

    i am fairly positive that is the case as i have heard of and seen 49" fish weigh in the high 40's as well as a 49" fish weigh well above 50
