First I will thank you very much for the compliment, it sure has been a long road. Sadly the crowd who used to say congrats don't seem to care anymore. I promised to build the biggest and best along time ago. I have never stopped caring. Went through some very hard times with this project. I can not fix every problem, but as always the site comes back to good content.

So the reason you dont see many posts about it, is the ones who used to be my friends really never were. They jumped on board a ban wagon. Sadly a lot of those people at some point over the years got pissed about one thing or another.

Some have made fast decisions to bitch and or leave the site.
Fact is I can not run this site based on a couple peoples feelings. Sites will have growing pains just like a marriage.
There is a whole lot more to building a site then feelings.

Some times people need to put feelings aside. Im sure you can look around and see the SOME of the original crowds have moved on and to be honest I think some pretty cool crowds have moved in.

At the end of the day numbers are numbers. I realize I held this sites growth up for awhile based on people I thought were friends. This last year I have put all feelings aside and attempt to run this site the way I know how.

One thing I can assure, everyday we will feel growing pains. But you have to work through them. No doubt the site will always come back to being a great resource.

So Again I thank one of the original members for the compliment. You and I have seen our share of problems but fact is at the end of the day the mission was to build something great. And in my eyes we have every opportunity to step up the content on this site and continue to bring the crowds great info.

This year will also be a lot different then all years past. We have attempted for years to be a site that the industry would respect. Sadly we can not bring the consumers any good content based on our industry's support.
Other then a few great sponsors, the marine industry is not interested in working with online sites like this. The sponsors who have supported this site through our good times and bad times will now really start to enjoy my loyalty. These few sponsors are the only reason we kept going. I know in my heart each and every one of them have found great new clients and relationships over the years. And to them I say thank you FOR BELIEVING IN US!

We will make sure they enjoy the fruits of this site for years to come. For the rest times are about to change.

A new SportFishermen.com is right around the corner and its gonna blow this industries minds.

Sorry for being long winded, and trust me I have alot more to say. But for now Marty through good and bad its been an amazing ride and the best is about to come.

I just looked in the stats and I must say I'm proud to see this the New England forum was the most linked to forum last month. Those boys took the forum and ran with it! Congrats on building a cool NE home!
Meaning over 10,000 people came to the site and the New England forum was the page they first came to.

Google now has us indexed for over 300,000 keywords. Tons of those are product keywords and charter keywords. So you get alot of people who make it here and dont want to post but just read. So they register and read. To me thats great, over time the more good writers we have the more readers we have. Posting is great but to me its about the original post. And we hope to see a lot more great info every day.

Thank you guys for the support!~

Thanks and congrats... I don't know what I would do without this forum and site!!! I do know that I would catch a helluva lot less fish and I wouldn't know nearly as much about fishing!

Cheers!!!

Seeing and being part of the stats and the power of this site and its giant network first hand, its beyond incredible to say the least. Actually feeling the results of the people and traffic this site has business wise has been incredible as well.

Thank you John and Jer for setting life aside to build this awesome platform you two have built with lots of blood sweat and tears! Many thanks to the members who contribute everyday.

The numbers just keep growing and growing everyday
