Has anyone ever taken a ride on one of these boats? I was at the atlantic city boat show. I have heard they are awsome boats. What are your thoughts? My buddy was looking into the 42 express.

fished the 42 convertible this summer great boat.
Fished an older 44 Henriques bridge boat a few times..... awesome sea boat.
Friend has a 38 convertible...one word, awesome. I'm sure the 42 is even better
The 42 is the same hull as the 38, just bigger. Trim the nose down and let'er eat. These boats are tanks. They're also a litlle slower than most, but that's because of their weight.
This is my third Henriques.
I fish on a 38 often. Oh Well out of OC NJ. Not the fastest but plenty fast enough. They are absolute beast. Great solid fishing platforms. Great cockpits. Never have to worry about getting home. Great guys to deal with and will always be there if you have any problems. They stand behind their boats. Sure, there are prettier, there are faster but you can't go wrong with an Henriques for fishing the Northeast Canyons.....and I swear if there was ever a boat that raised fished on the transom or you believe in that sort of thing a trip doesnt go buy that all kinds of fish are coming in to eat off the flatlines. I fish on one with Volvos and the sweet hum rumble puts you to sleep. Good Luck.
I am the Captain on a 42 express. I have put over 500 hrs.and 7000 miles on her and I love this boat. Good ride in all seas and auto pilot straight in a following sea. Good drifting too. As for speed we have 800 HP MAN's and can cruise at 32 Kts +/-. Back off to 1800 RPM and still make make 26 Kts. She has more fishing room and bigger fish boxes than most any boat in her class. The Henriques/Integerity team do business like it should be.They are as pleasure to deal with.
PM me if you have questions. I will be glad to talk .
John I sent you a pm.
All that I can do is agree with all - the Henriques' are great boats. Everybody I know who owns or has owned one has loved them and that even includes the legendary Captain Roddy Hays of Madera fame. I believe that his was a thirty eight, but it might have been bigger. He loved that boat. Freddy Rhueman on Long Island just loves his too. Unless I'm mistaken, it's a forty-four.
This is one that deserves the praise it's getting and I sure hope that they weather this financial crisis.

We did a lot of research and shopping before deciding on the Henriques 42'. The short version of what I found is that there are a lot of little as well as not so little things that make this boat what she is. Make a list of the little things that annoy you on your present boat, then try to find them on a Henriques. In talking to owners of other Henriques boats the words "bullett proof" usually are spoken and well deserved. As for handeling We run out of Barnegat Inlet. On the worst days coming home it is no problem.
