4/8 Spring Break MTN Trout Part II

The guys went to bed last night knowing the day ahead was to try and out do the day behind them. Mom had agreed to take them back to do some exploring for new trout waters. I had instructed them to try for a few where they knew they were on the N fork before heading to the S fork.

Seems the word got out and the grownups joined the little crew stream side for another incredible day with temps in the mid 80's.

Nolan again used his 3wt to land several as shown here, mom did a great job catching them in action.

She just didn't have the heart to snap a remake of "A RIVER RUNS THROUGH IT" as Nolan lost his footing midway to landing. The others fishing nearby cheered him on as he regained himself and was assisted by his brother Wyatt with the net.

After catching half the daily limit they picked up, left the other fishermen and headed off to explore in search of new waters and maybe a few native. Both Wyatt and Ewing were successful with the move.

What a spring break these boys and mother are having. Some more photos from the day...

Final day of trout was all about a quality native stream not stocked by VDGIF and #'s. Quality was amazing from the report the boys gave me when I returned from work. They are very blessed to have a mom to take them trout fishing on 4 of her days of spring break!!! They landed kept and released close to 150 trout plus the youngest Ewing age 8 bagged his 21#
    gobbler. What a week!

Box: Thanks for the how to video. Did a little edit on the original thread and will work the pictures in story on next one. Ran out of time and didn't get it quite right but did get it figured out.
