35# Wahoo, 65' of Water off Morehead City

We fished on Thurs and started at NW places. Didn't feel like riding into the storm over the 14 bouy. Caught a 10 mai mai and a albe. Trolled over to the 555 then to the Door steps. 30 minutes before quitting the shotgun with a black and red lure in front of a ballyhoo jumps on it and tears off a 100 yards on a 25# rod. 20 minutes later we landed this nice 35# hoo. I was very surprised he was so far inshore!Great fun and nice day.

Congrats and not the first time I have seen or heard of this. We caught 1 a few years ago in that same area, hit a live Squid that we had jigged up.

Yes Fred, we did catch the Squid first, we were not a 100 from where we caught the Squid. We were jigging for Grouper and Sea Bass. Stuck the Squid on a light line and caught the Wahoo as we were drifting while we were jigging.
