    329.5 Thresher Shark

Fished the Brett A. Bailey Mako Rodeo yesterday. Lost the thresher calcutta by 4lbs five minutes before the scales close, but thats the way the cookie crumbles.
    Still a great fish.

I dont believe in mono and circle hooks for sharks, 4' of wire with a welded eye offset j hook, connected to 4' of 500# hard mono. or even better a 25' windon of 500# mono.

The mono serves as chafe protection nothing more.

    thanks for the congrats
